Field Trip to the Air Traffic Control Tower

Our homeschooling group set up a field trip to the base Air Traffic Control Tower and Radar Station. Thiswas a VERY cool field trip for the moms, oh yes, and for the kids too. LOL! The kids got to see the radar screens where the air traffic controlers watch all the planes come in, hear them talk to each other and watch them guide them in and out of their airspace. Then, we gotto have a turn up in the tower. While we were there we saw lots of planes, including the new F-22 Raptor and a few Marine Harriers. Again, VERY COOL!! Austin was definitely in awe of all the planes and the fire truck!
