Jellyfish!

Very little scares my children. Not even jellyfish!! It's pretty funny, they love all sea creatures, bugs, snakes, animals. Tom has taught them that even though some jellyfish can hurt you, others are perfectly safe to catch and hold and even play with!!! Austin would have brought home hundreds of them if we had let him. He was very dissapointed to only be allowed to bring home 2 to put in our new saltwater aquarium.
I have always wanted a saltwater aquarium but have always been afraid to spend all that money and see my fish possibly die. How would I know if I had the saltwater mix right to keep them alive? Then a friend reminded me of the obvious....I live beside the ocean. It's full of the perfect saltwater mix! So, we bought a used tank for $20 and went to the beach to collect saltwater and cool creatures to put in our tank. We'll keep them for a week or two and then let them go and catch some more.

The kids LOVE this new aquarium. What an AWESOME opportunity to learn and observe ocean creatures. Right now we have a few crabs, a blue starfish, ad three jellyfsh. So COOL!!! What will we catch in the weeks to come? Stay tuned!
