Puppy Love......

Many children are afraid of dogs I suppose. In our house, that's just not an option! LOL! Amelia has lived her first year of life learning that the dogs are wonderful companions. They make wonderful jungle gyms to climb on, when your face is dirty they'll happily clean it for you, and if you're sad they love to give you wet slobbery kisses!
Before she died in February, our Golden Retriever Nickie was always the most patient loving companion to our older children. Lexie is a little more skittish and protects the children but if they try to climb on her she will just get up and move. When they were all little she would be sure to come and get me if they cried. I could tell by the look on her face that the baby had awoken from a nap and needed me. :)
Sophie and Sami, our most recent additions in the furry family members are no exception to great companionship. Sophie, pictured below with Amelia will happily let her crawl all over her. Amelia loves to curl up with her and use her kind of like a furry bean bag. In fact when I went ot get the camera for this picture that's exactly what she was doing.....leaned back against Sophie happily playing with the leapfrog toy. She also loves to give Sophie hugs and kisses and Sophie will "kiss" her right back!
